Marcus Weller (2009-10)
Marcus Weller is a Doctoral student in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Wayne State University. He also serves as an executive board member of the Michigan Association of Industrial/Organizational Psychologists. Marcus also consults for Fortune 500 firms to assist with sucession planning and global talent management as well as strategic human resource planning. As a German Chancellor Fellow at the Jacobs Centre on Lifelong Learning and Institutional Development at Jacobs University in Bremen, Marcus will investigate the impact of transformational or charismatic leadership on innovation in Fortune Global 500 organisations. An age-differentiated approach to leadership strategies will also be investigated to account for age-related differences in the way that individuals are motivated to innovate within organisations. This study will allow the researchers to gain insight into those leadership styles and strategies which offer the most promise for inciting the development of new sustainable technologies and economic drivers.
