Andrew McCallum (2006-07)
As a German Chancellor Fellow at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, Andrew coauthored a paper with the Director of Research as part of a two-year project (the Wage Dynamics Network) to analyze wage setting behavior and labor cost rigidities in the Euro area. Employing a novel statistical approach, the paper described the transmission to and response of individual economy's labor markets to an Euro-wide event. Prior to being a Chancellor Fellow he was a macroeconomic research assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan (2008), a B.S. with Distinction in Economics from the University of Washington (2004), and was a General Course student at the London School of Economics (2003). He is currently working towards his Ph.D. in economics with specializations in international trade and econometrics at the University of Michigan. (6/26/09)
